Clara Arosio - She was born in Milan in 1981; she attended Liceo Classico Cesare Beccaria and at a later she graduated in Modern Literature (curriculum Theory and Critic in Italy during the Contemporary age) at Milan University; she wrote her First Level Degree thesis on the translation of a tormented Henry James’ short story, The Beast in the Jungle. After a working and studying stay in Auckland, New Zealand, (during which she achieved the First Certificate in English), she continued her studies again at Milan University. There in 2008 she achieved her Master Degree, writing a thesis on the crime fiction, and in particular on Fruttero and Lucentini, two writers from Turin. After graduating, she worked for the milanese publishing house Giovanni Tranchida as proof-reader, translator and unpublished evaluator, and for the Cultural Association Dedalus Archive, a little video archive of the Italian contemporary poetry; there she worked as press agent, event organizer and editor. At the same time she worked for the Ismu foundation (promoting studies on migration flows) and for FrancoAngeli publishing house, dealing with the editing of texts and layouts. After having obtained CEDILS Certificate at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, she started to teach Italian to foreigners; since 2007 she has been a volunteer teacher for Samarcanda Social Progress Association and a freelance teacher for language schools, for Politecnico di Milano (Milan technical University) and for privates. In 2011 she held a course on Spoon River Anthology at Auser Third Age University. From 2009 to 2013 she’s been writing movie reviews on the web magazine Nouvellevague.eu. She is currently working with the online magazine Dol's - cultural section, and is teaching Italian classes at companies; occasionally she is covering positions as Italian teacher in the public school. Her Master Degree thesis was published in October 2014 in the Allori collection, by Reggio Calabria publishing house Leonida, with the title"Prospects and characters in Fruttero and Lucentini’s novels "
