Sabrina was born in Trieste but has been living in the U.K. since 1991. She spent several years in London and now lives in Edinburgh, where she moved seven years ago with her husband Paul and her daughters Charlotte and Sofia. She has been teaching Italian as a foreign language to adults in the U.K. since 1993, including a brief six-month spell in Brazil, and has always been very passionate about languages. She graduated in English Language and Literature with the Open University in 2010 and recently completed a long distance Master Degree in Translation Studies with the University of Bristol. She has always been a passionate reader of Stefano Benni, and the subject of her thesis was the translation into English of some chapters taken from his 2003 novel Achilles swift foot. She would love to become a literary and arts translator. When she has some spare time she loves going to live gigs, theatre shows (her husband is a voluntary member of Edinburgh’s Royal Lyceum Theatre) and to the cinema.
