Amneris Di Cesare, Italian, born in São Paulo, Brazil, lives in Bologna. Married to a doctor from Calabria, a mom and a full-time wife, she works as a free-lance journalist for women's magazines. Since 2005 she manages the F.I.A.E. - Independent Forum for Emerging Authors (http://fiaeforum.freeforumzone.leonardo.it), either a group and a self-editing workshop for emerging writers. She has published the essay Mama or not Mama: the challenge of being mothers in the world of Harry Potter for the fund-raising anthology Potterology: Ten appetizers of the universe of JK Rowling (Camelozampa Editore, 2011); one of her short stories, titled Fang, has been published in the fund-raising anthology of animal welfare stories Code di Stampa (Edizioni La Gru, 2011). In 2012 she published her first novel, Nothing but love (Edizioni Centoautori), winner of the Mondoscrittura Literary Award, and in 2013 participated to the educational school project Next stop ... Italy! coordinated by Manuela Salvi (Onda Editore), writing the chapter dedicated to Calabria region. She edited the fund-raising anthology Dodicidio for the POP project by Edizioni La Gru, writing the chapter February (2013), and won the Jane Wanted contest, organized by Edizioni Domino, with which her novel Siren on the horizon will be released. She also collaborates with the online information portal Rete-News.it (www.rete-news.it) writing news, culture & society, and music articles; she also collaborates as a translator with the online literary magazine Inkroci (www.inkroci.it).
