Liz Nugent

2014 has been the most incredible year for me. My first novel Unravelling Oliver was published by Penguin Ireland and translation rights were sold in seven languages (including Italian -Il Mistero di Oliver Ryan). The book went to number 1 in the bestseller lists and then stayed in the top ten for almost four months. Last month, it won the Ireland AM Crime Fiction Novel of the Year at the Bord Gais Energy Irish Book Awards and then just a week later, I was presented with the Jack Harte Bursary. The year has been extremely busy promoting and publicising my first book but I am now anxious to get back to writing my second novel, which will be about inherited guilt and obsession! Liz Nugent has written extensively for broadcast over the last ten years including live tv drama, soap opera, radio drama and a children’s animation series. Unravelling Oliver is her first novel. It was published by Penguin Ireland in March 2014 and is currently available in Italian under the title Il Mistero di Oliver Ryan published by Neri Pozza. It has also been published in German, and in 2015, will be available in French, Greek, Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew and Korean. She is currently working on her second novel, provisionally called Liars. Liz is represented by Marianne Gunn O’Connor and Vicki Satlow in Italy. http://www.liznugent.ie/
