1 POSTS 0 COMMENTSSotirios Pastakas (born in Larissa, Thessaly, in 1954), studied medicine in Rome, a significant period for his training, and for thirty years he worked as a psychiatrist in Athens. He has published numerous collections of poems, a theatrical monologue, a book of essays and translations of Italian poets (Sereni, Penna, Saba, Pasolini, Gatto) and a book of short stories. He collaborates with various literary journals with essays and translations from Italian and is a member of the Greek Writers Society. He is translated into twelve languages, and the book "Trilogy" (Parousia, 2012) has been published in the United States under the title "Food Line" (Forepaw Press, 2014), translated by Jack Hirschman and Angelos Sakkis. In 2001 he represented Greece in the founding of the World Poetry Academy, in Verona, under the aegis of UNESCO, and took part in numerous international poetry meetings. In December 2019 he is on tour in Italy. His poems can be read on various magazines too.
