Nenad Joldeski – Ненад Јолдески

Nenad Joldeski was born in 1986 in Struga, Macedonia. In 2010 he graduated at the state faculty of Economy in Skopje. In 2013 he received master degree in comparative literature on the subject “Intertextual irony in the modern and post-modern short stories.” He is a writer and author of two collections of short stories. His debut book “The silence of Enhalon“ that was written in Macedonian dialect and slang was awarded with the price “Novite“ by the publishing house “Templum“ in 2009. His second book, “Each with their own lake” is published by the same publishing house in 2012. In 2016 the book was awarded with the „European Union Prize for Literature” He is also an editor of collection of short stories dedicated to the Russian emigrant d-r Nikola Nezlobinski titled “Nikolaj (Fiction. Water. Truth.)”

For the purposes of the art group Wezdensky – which he was part of – he adapted several screenplays for different amateur theatrical play. He is co-founder of the Initiative for independent cultural activism and one of the organizers of the festival for culture DRIMON, which was established in 2013 and annually held in Struga.

His stories are translated into several languages in different magazines, journals and online portals for literature and arts.


Ненад Јолдески е роден во 1986 година во Струга. Автор е на книгата „Штамата на Енхалон“, збирка раскази напишани на струшки дијалект и сленг која ја освои наградата „Новите“ за најдобро дебитантско дело на конкурсот распишан издавачката куќа „Темплум“ во 2009 година. Во 2012 Јолдески ја издаде својата втора книга – збирка раскази со наслов „Секој со своето езеро“за која во 2016 година ја доби „Наградата за литература на Европска Унија“. Во 2018 излезе од печат неговиот прв кус роман „Пливање спротиводно“. Уредник е на збирката раскази „Николај (фикција. вода. вистина)“ која содржи шест раскази од шест македонски автори, инспирирани од животот на руските емигранти доктор Никола Незлобински и неговата жена Софија Незлобинска. За потребите на уметничката група „Везденски“ од која и самиот беше дел – Јолдески адаптирал неколку сценарија за различни аматерски театарски претстави.

Emilia Mirazchiyska
Emilia Mirazchiyska (1972) lives and works in her hometown Sofia, Bulgaria. She is the editor in-chef of Scalino publishing house which has in its catalogue two anthologies, compiled and edited by her: “Materinità possibili “(Italian edition – October 2011, Bulgarian edition – April 2011, coeditor Rayna Castoldi) and an anthology of short stories “Saluti a Dickens”, 2012. The latter has an English version too – “Greetings to Dickens” (15 Christmas Stories) with authors of eight nationalities: David Albahari (Kossovo, Canada), Iana Boukova (Bulgaria, Grееce), Soledad Cordero (Spain), Denitsa Dilova (Bulgaria), Sara Ferraglia (Italy), Ivan P. Hall (U.S.A.), Noémi Kiss (Hungary), Lyubov Kroneva (Bulgaria), Stoyan Nenov (Bulgaria), Dimitris Nolas (Greece), Gloriana Orlando (Italy), Alessandra Porcu (Italy), Milen Ruskov (Bulgaria), Zsuzsa Takács (Hungary) and Reynol Perez Vazquez (Mexico). She translates poetry from Bulgarian into Italian and from Italian into Bulgarian. Her professional aspirations in translating poetry broaden every month and scope other languages as well.
