“Book: pie of ideas”
A child finds natural that, “stars work with a net. That’s why they can’t fall on our head”. And a man observes that, “for a moment, the astronomer behind a big telescope becomes a microbe in the eyes of the Moon’s telescope, when She looks at him”.
Greguerias, a literary genre attributed to Ramón Gómez de la Serna, are a hybrid of a child’s naivety and a man’s wit, blended with paradox. The collection “Women, books, stars and animals” is just a little example of the author’s ability to turn ordinary moments into poetry. By reading it, we are given the ability to do the same: choosing a new vision of the world, between reality and dream, and feeling enriched.
