Howard Roughan – The Up and Comer

Cynical and rampant Philip Randall, a young New York lawyer, is trapped in the mesh of his own and others’ opportunism.
Beyond the final semi-absolution, and some discordant note in the climax, with a tight and intriguing narrative Roughan gives us a rather frank view on the New York middle-class new generations. But also of our own.
An enjoyable beach read, without losing the sense of reading, with some good points of reflection.
